Birla Balika Vidyapeeth organises Workshop on POCSO and POSH to Reinforce a Safe School Culture
Birla Balika Vidyapeeth Pilani organised an insightful workshop on 23rd February 2026 centred on the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act (POSH). The session was conducted by Ms. Vandana Banga, Founder of Parivartan and a noted education reformer.
The workshop was designed to sensitise the entire school fraternity, including both teaching and non-teaching staff, about their statutory responsibilities in safeguarding students and maintaining a secure institutional framework. The resource person elaborated upon key tenets such as preventive measures, mandatory reporting protocols, constitution of Internal Committees, redressal mechanisms, and the imperative of confidentiality and dignity.
Through interactive deliberations and case-based discussions, the participants gained clarity and awareness regarding child protection norms and workplace ethics.
Principal Mrs. Achala Verma expressed her sincere appreciation for the session and lauded the resource person for her insightful and comprehensive guidance.
