Award for being a Great Place To Study 2019

Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani received the Great Place To Study Certificate 2019 in a Global League Institutions Certification Ceremony held at the illustrious House of Commons, London on 17th June 2019. The Award was based on Student Satisfaction Survey conducted by Great Place To Study team which is an education research firm dedicated to bring a new era of cognizance in the global education system bringing together the best educational institutions from UK and Asia. Dr. M. Kasturi, Principal Birla Balika Vidyapeeth and Mrs. Achala Verma, Sr. Academic Coordinator received the Award from The Right Honourable The Baroness Sandip K Verma, an Indian-English politician in the United Kingdom and member of House of Lords.The Baroness Verma is a ministerial champion for tackling violence against women & girls overseas, a role she has held since 13 May 2015, and was previously the Parliament Under Secretary of state for International Development. The School was assessed critically on the basis of feedback from Students, parents and teachers which was well coordinated by Mrs. Anita Mishra, Dean Academics and great participation from all teachers, students and parents. Birla Balika Vidyapeeth got 5 star rating proving that the school is indeed a great place to study. The study was on parameters of satisfaction of students, parents & teachers on Academics, facilities, safety, pastoral care, happiness quotient and co-curricular & extra-curricular activities. Masterclass on "Great Education Practices" at King's College, London

Dr. M. Kasturi, Principal Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani and Mrs. Achala Verma, Sr. Academic Coordinator attended a workshop on the theme 'Master Class' organised by SkillTree Knowledge Consortium at King's College, London on 18th June 2019. The workshop was in three sessions. First session was by Dr. Ross Hall, professor, King's College, London enlighting the educators on the topic 'Empowering Younger Generation to better the world'. The lecture emphasised on transforming the Education System to create change agents. Dr. Ruth MacConville, Prof. of Psychology, King's College, London was the resource person for the second session on 'Student Engagement - Importance of non-cognitive skills'. Prof. Ruth spoke on positive psychology, Academic behaviour, perseverance, learning strategies, social skills of students which will help in creating individuals with empathy. The final session was an open discussion on Great Educational Practices moderated by Mr. Shekhar Bhattacharjee, CEO, Great Place to Study. It was an interactive session inviting cross-disciplinaty exchange of thoughts, ideas and innovation and discussing on new ways of building brands.
