Guest lecture held at Birla Balika Vidya Peeth, Pilani; The world of insects- An inside story – Joy on fingertips

A guest lecture related to the unique world of insects was organized at Birla Balika Vidya Peeth, Pilani.
The Resource person for the session was Prof. Alok Sheode from Maharashtra.
The Principal, Dr. M. Kasturi, welcomed Prof. Alok Sheode, & described him as an exceptional photographer. He has an extraordinary connection with insects. His collection comprises of an extensive treasure of images and videos of 312 insect species. His talent 'Joy at Fingertips' was acknowledged as a record-breaking achievement by until November, 2018 in the Limca book of records.
During his session, Mr. Alok Sheode showcased mesmerizing videos related to various types of insects, portraying their activities, life cycles, strengths, maternal love, etc., beautifully. Observing the magnificent scenes of the world of insects in those videos left everyone amazed and astonished.
Prof. Sheode shared information about the life cycles of various types of insects and also addressed students' questions, resolving their doubts. Approximately 18 biology teachers from schools in the Shekhawati region also participated in this session.
At the end of the session, Dr. M. Kasturi presented a token of remembrance and honored the Prof. Sheode.
This workshop was organized by the school science department.
