BBVP Alumna Prof. Surekha Bhanot inspires students with talk on life skills

On April 15th, 2023, a talk was given by Dr. Surekha Bhanot, an alumna of the 1985 batch and a professor at BITS, to students in grades 9 to 12.
Dr. Bhanot began her speech by expressing her gratitude to her school and college teachers, who helped her learn values, achieve her goals, and become a successful person. She spoke about the importance of life skills and how they can help individuals achieve success in life.
During her talk, she discussed various life skills, such as creative and critical thinking and time management. She also shared personal experiences and explained how she has used these skills to succeed in her career.
After the talk, an interesting quiz was held on the lives and achievements of famous personalities, such as Nelson Mandela, Socrates, Madame Curie, and Steve Jobs. The quiz was enjoyed by the students and was an excellent way to test their knowledge.
Dr. M. Kasturi, the principal, praised Dr. Bhanot for her accomplishments and for dealing with everything with patience and wisdom. She called her the pride of BBVP, and everyone gave her a standing ovation for her achievements. Dr. Bhanot was also felicitated by Dr. M. Kasturi.
The event concluded with Jasmanpreet Kaur Randhawa giving a vote of thanks on behalf of the BBVP fraternity. She thanked Dr. Bhanot for her inspiring and informative talk.
Overall, the event was a great success, and the students enjoyed the talk and quiz. It was an excellent way to connect with a successful alumna and learn more about life skills and great personalities.
