National Conference organized at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth Pilani on auspicious occasion of National Science Day-2024

National conference on " Indigenous technologies for Viksit Bharat". Eminent Scientists, Academicians & Industry experts in the domain of Science & Technology from renowned Research Organizations shared their expertise. As part of National Science Day 2024, various activities were organized at Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani, focusing on indigenous technologies and innovations for the development of India uring the Conference. The Chief Guest of the conference was Major General S.S. Nair (AVSM), Director of Birla Education Trust.
Prominent scientists and professors from the country, including Dr. B. Manivannan, Dr. G.K. Aseri, Dr. P. Gopinath, and Dr. Amol Holkundkar, participated in the conference. Major General S.S. Nair (AVSM), along with the Principal Dr. M. Kasturi and other dignitaries, & BET executives inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
During the event, Nobel laureate Dr. C.V. Raman was also honored with floral tribute. A student of the school presented an illustrious introduction to the great scientist Sir C V Raman and the Raman effect. The Principal Dr M Kasturi welcomed the Chief Guest & Dignitaries & she emphasized the importance of making science learning not only essential but also enjoyable and engaging, highlighting the need for effective teaching methods.
Major General S.S. Nair (AVSM) commended the successful organization of the event and expressed hope that the informative presentations and engaging discussions during the session would stimulate curiosity among students towards science and technology, inspiring them to explore technological marvels.
The formal release of the School Science Newsletter was done by the Chief Guest & delegates. A brief video showcasing glimpses of National Science Day 2022 and 2023 was presented during the ceremony.
Dr. B. Manivannan, Chief Brand operations & VP Plant operations delivered a talk on "Drug Development Technologies" . Dr. G.K. Aseri Pro Vice Chancellor Amity University Jaipur shared his expertise on "indigenous technologies and innovations in soil Microbiology for Viksit Bharat.
Dr. P. Gopinath, Professor of Bioengineering IIT Roorkee talked about the concept and applications of nano-biomimicry. Dr. Amol Holkundkar enlightened students on recent advancements in Particle collider.
Numerous activities were organized at the school, including a panel discussion on "India Post-COVID-19 Summit" and paper presentations on the topic "Significant Technologies for the Progress of the Nation" by students from class 11. A poster-making competition on the theme "Contribution of innovative Technologies to the Progress of the Nation" was also held. The School NCC Band stole the show by melodious tunes.
The Conference culminated with the Delegates & Principal felicitating all participants with certificates and presented mementos to the guests. Besides Birla Education Trust School, enthusiastic participation was witnessed from other schools like Hubs of Learning Schools and Shekhawati Sahodaya School, along with 15 other CBSE schools.
The organizing Secretary of the conference, Mrs. Anita Mishra, provided information about the science activities and achievements of the school.
